Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SL RIDE website (slride.com) and all private chauffeur tour services provided by SL RIDE. By using our website or booking a tour, you agree to these Terms.

SL RIDE is operated from 95/24, Lady MacCallum's Drive, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. For questions, contact us at info@slride.com.

2. Quotations & Pricing

• All quotes are personalised and provided free of charge with no obligation.
• Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
• A quote is valid for 14 days from the date it is issued. After this period, prices may be subject to change.
• Quoted prices include: licensed English-speaking chauffeur, vehicle hire, fuel for the agreed itinerary, driver accommodation and meals, toll charges, and all applicable government taxes.
• Quoted prices do not include: entrance fees to attractions, your accommodation, meals, tips, or any personal expenses.

3. Booking & Confirmation

• A booking is confirmed once the required advance deposit has been received by SL RIDE.
• Upon confirmation, you will receive a payment confirmation email and, at least 7 days before your tour, a full tour confirmation with chauffeur details, vehicle information, and pickup arrangements.
• We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.

4. Payments

• Advance deposit: A deposit (as specified in your quote) is required to confirm your booking. This can be paid via PayPal or bank transfer.
• Balance payment: The remaining balance is payable directly to your chauffeur in two instalments: 50% on the first day of the tour and 50% on the day before the tour ends. Payment can be made in USD or Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) at the prevailing exchange rate.
• All payments are non-refundable except as outlined in the Cancellation section below.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email or WhatsApp.
• If SL RIDE cancels a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the deposit will be issued.
• Date changes are accommodated free of charge subject to availability, provided notice is given at least 15 days before the original start date.

6. Itinerary Changes

• You may request changes to your itinerary before or during the tour. We will accommodate changes wherever possible.
• Additional mileage or extra days beyond the agreed itinerary may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to you in advance.
• SL RIDE reserves the right to modify routes due to road closures, weather, or safety concerns. Alternative routes of equal quality will be provided.

7. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate travel details (dates, flight numbers, number of travellers) at the time of booking.
• Ensure all travellers hold valid travel documents (passport, visa) for entry into Sri Lanka.
• Treat the chauffeur and vehicle with respect. Any damage to the vehicle caused by negligence will be the responsibility of the guest.
• Wear seatbelts at all times during the journey.

8. Our Responsibilities

• Provide a licensed, English-speaking chauffeur who is experienced in touring Sri Lanka.
• Provide a clean, well-maintained, and insured vehicle suitable for the agreed itinerary.
• Cover all driver-related expenses including fuel, accommodation, meals, and tolls as part of the quoted price.
• Respond to enquiries and provide tour confirmations in a timely manner.

9. Liability

• SL RIDE acts as a chauffeur service provider. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, natural disasters, political unrest, or other events beyond our control.
• We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the tour.
• Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the tour service.
• We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance before travelling to Sri Lanka.

10. Website Use

• The content on this website is for general information and tour planning purposes.
• You agree not to misuse the website, including submitting false quote requests, attempting to disrupt the service, or scraping content.
• All content, images, and branding on this website are the property of SL RIDE and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
